(I Remember) Greenville
(to the song "(Don't Go Back To) Rockville")
Thinking of that place again and thinking how I loved it oh so much
Looking at the 5th street lights,
So close and real that my hands can almost touch
The Attic to the left I see,
Pantana Bob's is loud with those that I know
At Hardee's I will find myself,
A place I go when downtown is closed
And it's Crow's Nest for a bite to eat
Just sit around and order me some fries
I know that things have changed, but I believe
I'll be thinking back before too long.
(chorus)
I remember Greenville,
I remember Greenville,
I remember Greenville
It's closer than I know
Some nights I watched my Pirates play, and you all know
My heart just can't take the pain
So I listen to my ZMB close friends
I hear them play a song that stops the rain.
At Village Green I know of people there
So I take a ride before the morning light
(chorus)
I remember Greenville,
I remember Greenville,
I remember Greenville
It's closer than I know.
It's not as though it really keeps you
It's just a place that never leaves you
Just like any local town, you'll have some ups and you'll have downs and
Now they're just my memories.
I know that things have changed, but I believe
I'll be thinking back before too long.
