Season's Edge

Oh Fall!
How I missed thee
Thy cool air and early eves
Brisk walks in sweater worn
Comfort me, season of turning
Orange and purple skies surround hearty souls
Breathe in me thy breath of change
Let mine eyes touch thy October embrace
Trees branch out and give color
To young and old
Leaves coat
Leaves blanket
Leaves...
(Hmmm)
Leaves, leave me
Ye evil back breaker of otherwise festive season
Clothe my neighbors yard where thou art the prettiest
From afar
Fall not
Stay put on thy perch
No really, just stay
Fie! Fie!
Let them not lie!
My face wet with tears, cry I
Sigh.
In fact, I'm missing summer already
Crap.

Unramble

Spinning’s all we do upon this dot
Doing should be done and live a lot
Creeping we should not to find the more
Seeking eyes will spot an open door
Singing on a swing all night in park
Paying moon no heed when after dark
Living we must do and often grin.
Loving life’s the currency, amen.

The Cannibal from Hannibal

The cannibal
From Hannibal
His appetite phenamibal
Filet of sole
Did take a toll
He served one on an oven roll
The ankle broke
And on it, choked
The feat then killed the cannibloke.

Ode to a Winter Clothes Line

My eyes they see you flutter free
My clothes all hung with care
The blissful breeze it mellows me
While screwing up my hair
The sun it washes through the tree
The warmth's beyond compare
I wish the rays could lovingly
Bring heat to derriere.

Why can't we all

Why can’t we all
Smell like a rose
A nose knows a rose
Is sweeter than those
Old moldies that grows

Why can’t we all
Be thin not fat
With tummies so flat
Our names would be Mat
Or something like that

Why can’t we all
Have the same race
The color would grace
The place called our face
Will we then embrace?

Why can’t we all
Be rich not poor
The rich have much more
And more we adore
Without I abhor

Why can’t you be
The same as me
Then I would be you
And me would be me
And all that I do
You’d do just like me
How boring to see
A world just like me.
