Break Like the Wind
(to Ride Like the Wind by Christopher Cross)
Break dance tonight
My body speaks
Beat box of one
Make people weep
I’ve got to break
Break like the wind
See me spin again.
When I’m hot see the air softly glow
I start off very slowly then let it go
Then I’ll break like the wind.
Break like the wind
When the moon is come
I’m a cheeky man
See my moves so fine
Repertoire will expand
Eyes will cry
Knees will bend
Break like the wind.
And my crowd seems to move with the flow
Some fallin’ like the walls in ol’ Jericho
And I’ll break like the wind.
Break like the wind.
Footloose and fly
I’m twirly thang
I move the air at night
Sonic boom brings bang
Leavin’ them behind
To breezes I let go
Break like the wind
Rapport from below
Smoke in the night
Hear thunder beat
Spinnin’ the bum
Body will squeak
I’ve got to break
Break like the wind
Feel release again
And my dance is a glimpse of my soul
Though many think the act slightly overblown
But I’ll break like the wind
Break like the wind
Now I’m not such a bad guy to know
They say I’m quite a gas down in Tokyo
When I break like the wind
Break like the wind.
